i believe their is a new Person running the business now. from reading the other comments this does not sound like him.
Hands down the best seafood I've had. I've been looking for a takeaway shop like this for a long time, now i have finally come across it. great service. The owner of the shop is old school, which is hard to find now. Handmade Chips (the Best kind). And apart from the Sea food the guy does a mean as Hamburger! Very affordable! would recommend this to anyone. even if you dint like Seafood try their Chips and Hamburgers
I hope there is a new guy running the place. I may have worked there in the past and the owner was the most horrible person I have ever met in my life. I completely agree and confirm every negative review I see because I was a witness.
Oh wow, so surprised by the bad reviews... Its just an average fish and chip shop, nothing swanky by all means. There was always a variety of fish to choose from and he always told me what he had when I asked.... I pretty much always stuck to my usual of grilled salmon and greek salad. It was easy and fast and tasty.
I am still absolutely stunned by my one and only visit to this establishment. I entered this shop which I can really only describe as seedy and was immediately asked what I would like. As I had literally just walked in I felt pressured by this person staring at me expecting an immediate answer.

If i could give 0 Stars i would... and i'm not one of those people who writes bad reviews for everything, I had to register for True local just to write this review.
I live in the area and used to frequently grab my lunch or dinner here for many years, it was known as different names back then and very friendly and generous workers who would throw in free stuff or stock you up with plenty of chips etc. The fish was awful, so i tried fish cocktails - no good, even the burgers are horrible. So now i resort too just ordering hot chips to go with a pie or something else from up the road. Can't even get chips right.
Worst... I advise you keep driving, hop in the left lane on Miller St, take the exit and get onto the Harbour Bridge, go to pyrmont for some fresh fish and cook it yourself !
