Campbell Page were fantastic to me. They addressed every concern and problem i had at that time of my life when i needed their service. My partenr was working for a JSA but i couldnt go to her office as it could be seen as a conflict of interest, she told me to go to Campbell Page. I did not regret that advice. . .absolutely fantastic
According to Centrelink I do not "need" to look for work at this stage, but I still want a job. I went for my "interview" at Campbell Page and asked "can you help me with selection criteria?", the answer I got was "I can try, but I'm not very good at it"!!! Then why are you working here?!? I haven't bothered going back to this JSA, I may as well do it myself.
You may as well. Again it comes down to stream level. The federal government has in place guidelines that pretty much state 70% of time and resources has to go to stream 3 and 4 clients, 20% to stream 2 and 10% to stream 1. Also JSA's are not suppose to help address selction criterias. Selection criteris are a very individual thing and you are supposed to answer them yourself. JSA's get a lot of people who have little experience but are hell bent on working in the public service. It is a waste of precious time sitting down and helping people write selection criterias who in reality have no chance of getting the job. Rememeber that on average, you are probably one of about 1000 people wanting assistance each fortnight, and if you are in a lower stream you have no chance. Government regualtions actually mention things JSA's can not do. .they include helping people apply for jobs overseas, jobs in the sex industry and doing selection criterias for Governemnt postions.
Not asking for them to write it for me! Asking if they can explain it so I know what to write. They should be able to, and be capable of doing that at least! Just because someone doesn't know how to address a Selection Criteria doesn't mean they aren't capable of doing the job.
I Would not recommend Campbell Page to any job seeker. They are of no help what so ever in helping you find work. The staff constantly do the bare minimum of what they're supposed to do. I have had more than enough with their inefficiency!
They constantly misplace important documents, which makes it very difficult! Please look elsewhere when looking for a job network provider . The staff are unhelpful and unprofessional.
Your review does not take into account muliple factors. Firstly, your stream level. This is determined by the government, not by your JSA provider. If you are a stream 1 you will not get any assistance. The government has said you are "work Ready". If you are not working after 13 weeks of recieving payments you will then have to start reporting to your JSA provider. They monitor your job search. You do have to look for work yourself, you are not paid by the government to be unemployed. Most people in stream 1 who are still on payments after 13 weeks are usually just lazy, and they try and get medical certificates to get exemptions. They give these to their JSA providers, when in fact they have to go to Centrelink, , Centrelink makes the decisions on who gets exempted and who doesnt. Usualy people who post negative stuff about JSA providers are just lazy and annoyed and want free money. In case you were wondering, My girlfriend worked for a JSA provider .
My daughter has been going to Campbell Page for 12 months and they have done nothing for her either. They have given her no guidance what so ever or even looked at her resume to see if it is ok. No support what so ever. They are paid to help people find jobs. Yes Lauren they do do the bare minimum. Pathetic. Not all people are lazy and my daughter is certainly not lazy. With all the help I have given my daughter in trying to find a job and helping her with her applications, the govenrment should pay me to run my own employment agency I would do a better job..Lauren, their is a apartment that you can report these agencies if they are not doing their job. I wouldn't recommend Campbell Page to anyone.
