I had a major surgery last week and have requested on three occasions prior to surgery date for a private room - rang admin office that I dropped my preadmissiin form, second, when Admission office confirmed details a day before surgery and third, on the day of surgery itself when I paid the hospital gap of $500. In those three occasions, I was assured that I will be in a private room and my health fund is a preferred partner of hospital. I can't fault the care I have just received in this hospital. The staff were all very nice, caring and professional. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone.
I did however, have a problem with the food. Not being a lover of mushrooms or tomatoes, I found a lot of the meals tended to use them and when I opted for the sandwich, twice, on the weekend because of the meal choice, I was given a stale sandwich with the meat on the turn.
Yesterday I had day surgery for the first time at this hospital. I have had this same surgery on several occasions over the past 10 years in both Shellharbour and Wollongong Private Hospitals. Campbelltown went beyond the patient care and service of either of those two hospitals. All staff from admission to discharge were professional, friendly and very caring. The whole process went smoothly. I wopuld recommend this hospital to anyone.
