Campo's Coffee
Campos Coffee is one of Newtown's most celebrated cafes. Offering high quality specialist coffee to its customers, it is safe to say that Campos Coffee is one of Sydney's best coffee makers. Customers can order from a range of freshly percolated types of bean and sit to watch the outside world bustle past. A truly relaxing and great tasting experience.
Imagine whipping up 200 cups of coffee an hour. Good thing Campos has baristas who can make 36 coffees in 16 minutes and you still get a mean latte.

If you blink you'll miss the door to this coffee haven.
So don't blink. Think of the weeping angels and scuttle through this door for the sweet elixir that will keep you safe.
The space is small inside, however the staff are friendly and the coffee is good. They have a range of coffee beans. I wasn't there long enough to figure out if they did food as I needed to wiggle my way down the road to my physio appointment, but it is a good fast service with a smile.
And good coffee, did I mention that already?
The original campos store. They just serve their own coffee, but honestly I was not a fan. I find they heated the milk to high and the coffee had quite a dark, bitter tone to it which is not the aroma I like. I definitely think Melbourne has better roasters than Sydney. They also don't really do food or have much seating space so it definitely is more for a takeaway crowd.
'THE' original campos? It's worth a visit. Does coffee better than the two Campos options on the nearby uni campus, for sure. And still standard Sydney prices of $3.60 for a small (currently). They've served their coffee a little on the hotter side (not too hot though) when I've been there, which I quite prefer.
