I have to say that I am not really all that impressed with this particular pub. In fact out of all of the pubs in The Rocks this would have to be the one that I like the least (even though it is technically not in The Rocks, I still consider it to be one of The Rocks pubs). It is fairly tacky inside, and seems to attract the wrong sort of people. Okay, the food is cheap, but I haven't had the desire to eat here, especially since there are much better places in the local area to grab a decent bite to eat. Sure, I've been here a couple of times, but that was only to check it out, and the second time to jog my memory about the place. It may not get as crowded as some of the other pubs in the area, but there is probably a good reason for that.'
LOVE this place and pretty much everything about it, minus the number of girls toilets as there is always a huge queue. We come to the Captain Cook every year, without fail, on Anzac Day and whenever we are around the Rocks. On Anzac Day this place is so so busy but it is worth sticking around as they have a two-up stage in the back lane and it is SO much fun. I just love the atmosphere here, people come in just to have fun or relax and that creates a really fun, laid-back atmosphere that is rare to find in Sydney city bars.
