My aunt travels on Captain's Choice Tours each year and puts down a deposit months ahead of time. This year she needed to have surgery and missed her tour. I decided to go in her place and pay the remaineder. Captain's Choice was great about changing the arrangements despite a few early hiccups in the process. The tour was, overall, fantastic! I loved Japan so much! The hotels we stayed in were lovely and centrally-located. The itinerary was interesting and I wound up seeing a lot more than I would have one my own as I don't speak Japanese. The downside is two-fold. First, the sheer cost. These tours are expensive, although you can fly economy or cheaper and join the group there and so save a bit. Secondly, the pace is quite exhausting at times.
