Absolutely risky service for the person renting the vehicle. This service aims at fleecing every cent of money from customers. First of all, the service is not cheap as it sounds. First of all the biggest problem is that the service has no dedicated parking spot, so once you have picked up the vehicle returning it and praying to god that the vehicle doesn't get a parking ticket becomes customers responsibility that can last for many days after the vehicle is returned and you think you are not exposed to any more risks.
Secondly, while this service offers no dedicated parking spots, and if any fine is accrued to the vehicle even after 5 days of returning the vehicle, in addition to transferring the fine to you, they will deduct an additional 'inconvenience' fee from your credit card shamelessly. I used this service and comparing with any other car rental/ car sharing service around the world that is been the worst experience ever.

Booking a car it's easy, the point is... those cars have not dedicated car park or anything like that, those are just parked on the street in a public car park. As we know in Sydney the public car park are just timed (2 hours in this case), so I returned the car on the same day at the same street and I close the renting.

Used this service on 3 occasions, had major booking issues on 2 of them. Without my confirmation or permission, the website booked a car for me. I only found out this when I checked my email, received no sms confirmation. After cancelling the car they still charged me full price. When calling to tell them of their website issues, they put the blame on me and refused to admit their error.

I have friends who have used this service regularly for short trips and over-nighters. They highly recommended the service, so I decided to give it a go. The Car Next Door team provided clear and easy instructions for applying to use the service, with very prompt approval. They also had great information about how to proceed with my first car share. Even when I had a silly question (hadn't read the very clear instructions correctly), they were prompt to answer the phone and couldn't have been more helpful. The car was easy to find and as described. Great service all round!!

Had to borrow a car for a day on a trip to Sydney, saw that there were cars available in the area i was staying so signed up and opted for the $5 fee for fast approval. Was approved the next day and able to book a car. Given the mobile number of the owner i checked that the car was ready the night before the booking. Found the car as i expected it to be, it was a neat, tidy and comfortable drive. Instructions for borrowing were straight forward and thorough as you are guided through the borrowing process on the site. Very happy with my experience, it was cheap, local and fast approval which was everything i needed.
