I have bought a vehicle from Steven from Car barter. The experience was a very pleasant and i would recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to give these guys a call. They organized my finance hassle free and i was in my "new" car before i knew it and still loving it. Thanks again for all your help and professionalism. Regards Simon from Brisbane City
Had issues with a $22000 car within one day of purchase. Since then the vehicle has been yellow slipped by Qld Road transport as un-roadworthy and dangerous. Carbarter took the car back for one month to do repairs on many item and yet the vehicle has just gone through a fourth qld road transport inspection with before and after photos taken of inadequate repairs, repairs not done and areas simply painted over to cover up the rust. A RACQ masters report states the same and worse on the QRT report. 4 months later with the vehicle impounded for 3.5 months is still un roadworthy and impounded and Carbarter refuse to refund money, stating as I see in a previous message on here, you bought a second hand car not a brand new one.
Had issues with the brakes shuddering and the car idle hunting when I received my car. I had a mechanic my family have used since I was a child look at the car and diagnosed 3 problems with the car that needed attention and should have been fixed during the "service" the vehicle had before I collected it. The dealer would only fix the car under stat warranty with the same mechanic that did the original service. I am paying my mechanic to fix the vehicle as I was told the car is fine and that I should be careful of a mechanic attempting to get money out of a dealers stat warranty. I have had another mechanic and several family members look at the car and drive it and all have said the brake rotorcraft need work as does the idle reset. Both problems should have prevented the vehicle being declared roadworthy. Car sales person were very lovely and nice to deal with I just do not trust the word of the mechanic they use for their servicing.
Thanks Amy for your comments, as we discussed i am more than happy to fix these items. As you know when dealing with second hand vehicles problems can arise. If we are fair and reasonable, and take responsibility to fix the issues that arise after delivery, i believe we should have the opportunity to fix the vehicle on your behalf. We appreciate your feedback, and will most certainly make our mechanic aware of the issues you have experienced. I hope we can continue to do business in the future, even though we are off to a ROCKY START! :)
