Carlton Espresso

On the plus side, the food is great. The hand-made pasta is sensational. On the down side, I found the service to be quite rude and rushed. It's not the sort of place where you would go for a relaxed meal, but it's good for quick, tasty bite. The amazing food makes up for the waiter's attitude, so I will be back.

Genuine Italian people, coffee, food and atmosphere. Order a Cafe Latte for an interesting take on a classic. Bircher muesli is good, plenty of pastries etc. but more of an express breakfast, ie no egg dishes - except for those in the paninis - (that wouldn't be Italian!).

Great food, great service and the staff are always welcoming. I question the attitude of the patrons who bag the staff. I highly recommend the bircher muesli for breakfast - yummm!!

what a shame! the food was ok but the service was TERRIBLE!!

having finished our italian class just around the corner, we thought we would try this place and practice. the staff made fun of us (in italian, one said to another, "they come here and suddenly think they're italian!"), and someone came to take our order, but only in very fast italian, telling us they cant speak english, and laughed when we didn't quite understand them.

extremely disappointing.

will never go back there and will advise as many people as possible not to either.

Carlton Espresso is a great place to go for a meal or for coffee and a dessert. They have a wonderful range of desserts, and the coffee here is fabulous. The service is great, your orders are always served with a smile.
