Carpet Call

DO NOT USE CARPET CALL! I have never written a bad review but am beyond frustrated with my experience with this company. I currently have a half finished floor with all my furniture currently getting ruined on our back deck as its been out there for over 2 weeks. Have politely attempted to resolve this issue with management. We have paid over $10 000 for flooring and made our expectations of the finish expected very clear to more than one representative, the finish which we have been given is no where near what we were lead to believe could be accomplished and we would never have paid such a large amount if we had been advised that we could not get the finish we desired (we did our research as we had very specific issues which limited our flooring choices). I now have a half finished floor, mess, dust, nails sticking our from removed skirting boards and my 2 year old living in this nightmare!! Worst company ever. Booked in to install.....didn't show up. Booked in again.....didn't show up. Finally installed and did a dreadful job. Booked in to repair.... And didn't show up. As a contractor it cost me more in lost wages than the cost of the carpet. worst company ever. Go elsewhere!!!!!

Woeful! Don't know whether it is specifically the management of this store, or whether the practice is endemic across the organisation, but beware of what you are being sold! We signed up for what we thought was a specific quantity of timber flooring at an agreed price, based on an estimate we provided. The agreement was for us to confirm the measurements and the invoice would be adjusted accordingly - either up or down. We confirmed at around 6m2 less than the estimate - not huge but at $85/m2, sufficient to follow through on. The invoice was never amended and we were forced (the furniture was outside and the floors up) into paying the original full amount prior to install, but on the undertsanding that a credit would be paid for what was not used. Very poor service. They quoted and signed contract on a fixed price and then they increased the price without notice AFTER contract had already been signed on original price. They refused us a refund and refused cancellation - would not even accept a cancellation fee, as per legal requirements under the Fair Trade Act. They were very rude, unprofessional & used standover tactics upon our complaint. Not recommended!
