Casey On Princes Motel

We stayed in this motel before a flight back home. Everything was up to standards it was clean reasonably priced etc but what I found shocking was in the morning I turned on the electric blanket (only one side worked) to warm up the bed. About 15 minutes after having it on I started to smell a burning smell which I thought was coming from the heater as it smelt like plastic I then thought I should check the electric blanket to make sure it wasn't that. It intact was it had burnt through the electrical cord, mattress protector and sheet. Immediately we turned it off and unplugged it. If I had of left it on or slept with it on god knows what would have happened. Just before I noticed the burning smell I had my 11 month old in the bed with me.

There was no compensation, discount or refund for this. Just an apologie which I felt was not good enough. We will not be back and will not recommend to my friends with family's for somewhere safe to stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff, this little motel is like its own little world, so peaceful, relaxing and cosy.

Would recommend if you need a break away from home Thomas Lodge in Hallam is the way to go.
