I have to travel nearly an hour to get there, the service is AMAZING and well worth it!
We've been using Castelan for our Dogs Since 2011. The staff are Perfect Pet People.
The Dogs always come back to us Bathed and Happy!

Our beloved kitty stayed at Castelan for a few weeks while we were on holidays. I don't know what happened, but our affectionate kitty came back to us so stressed, she cried herself. She will not go into her cat carrier unless sedated, and freaks out for no reason. I'm sorry to write such a negative story, but we won't be using Castelan again.
It is strange that you can announce you experience to the world but not have the courtesy to contact us at Castelan with your concerns. Since 1984 yours is the first complaint re our services and we are perturbed that you have not had the decency to air your grievances with us instead of being anonymous and making hysterical comments to the general public regarding our cattery
Hello there Fishgirl. Please don't feel alone and please don't apologise for your review. We had the most dreadful experience at this kennel and we nearly lost our beloved animal. Nothing about the situation was handled in a knowledgeable or responsible manner and no apology was ever given. So much for experience! All in all it was incredibly costly, distressing and nothing short of disgraceful. We were given the same explanation as you were here. Friends and associates when asking after us were forthcoming with their own horror stories from this kennel and apparently every complaint is the first one ever received!

Another anonymous comment from someone not game to report to us but can launch viscous libellous untrue statements undercover - you are exposing yourself to legal action as we will locate you.
Great Kennel.
We leave our 2 cocker spaniels here a few times every year and they always come back happy and clean.
Never had any problems with fleas or ticks and I know they check up on the validity of their "guests" vaccinations prior to taking them in.
Have used them on 4 separate occasions and will continue to do so.

My 3 cats stayed here for a week recently and they were all very well taken care of. They loved the deluxe unit and being able to look outside and see what was going on.
They have very reasonable rates and the room was clean and had lots of things to do and see. Highly recommended for your fury babies :)
Jed is our third doberman to stay at Castelan. At 54kgs he is a powerful and large dog. The staff at Castelan have looked after all our dogs exceptionally well and they have always come home fit and happy. The kennels are clean, the prices reasonable and Jed, particularly given his size and strength, well managed and cared for.
