Castle Tavern

When my friend said 'there is nothing to see here' he wasn't wrong when it came to this place. Seriously, there really is nothing about the Castle Taven that makes it anybetter that a place to pick up some takeway for a few drinks at home. In fact, other than a couple of beers after work when I was stacking shelves at Coles, the only reason we ever came here was to drive through the bottle shop. Even though it is attached the the shopping centre, I wouldn't even dream of stopping of here to have a beer after doing my groceries. Personally, I would rather dump them in the car and go to one of the better places down the road.

So horrible.

1. The food was disgusting
2. The cutlery and plates were dirty
3. It was completely empty except for our table
4. It felt like a school cafeteria
5. Unsavory people kept walking through to go to the pokies

The whole place had a horrible atmosphere and it felt like I was being watched. I highly recommend to everyone not to dine there! How they are still in business is a mystery to me.

I have been patronizing The Castle Tavern for many years in the past - before a long break.
Yesterday (Thurs 12 Feb 15) I returned to the tavern for lunch with a friend. The variety of low priced meals are still of top quality - compliments to the chefs. The warm & very friendly bar staff made us feel welcome & at home.
