As an experienced editor and former publishing director, member of the NSW Society of Editors and recommended by the Australian Literary Agents Association, I will read and assess your manuscript - fiction or non-fiction - to point out your strong points as well as problem areas, and make suggestions to help you ready it for submission to publishing houses or for self-publishing. I am happy to work on screen or on hard (paper) copy and also to meet with you at no extra cost.
Reading and Assessment Fee schedule: up to 80,000 words: $490; 80,000-100,000 words: $590; 100,000-120,000 words: $690; 120,000-140,000 words: $790; over 140,000 words: by negotiation.
Editing fees: $75 an hour. Quotes given on request if sample pages sent.
For novels, I will look at plot, characters, pace, voice, writing style; for non-fiction, I critique the logical presentation of facts, interest factors and writing style.
