Catmandu Motel for Cats Pty Ltd

It is obvious that the cattery has changed hands. My previous review is no longer valid and in fact was much longer ago than 4 months (and I would delete if possible). Current management is warm and friendly and the cattery well set out and secure. I would happily have my cat stay here at any time.

Spacious cages, but the woman there was cold and unfriendly, almost rude. My cat came back very skinny, as if she hadn't eaten at all. I would not take my cat back there.

I have left my Persian cat with Jennifer at Catmandu and found her to be lovely. He was looked after beautifully and I would recommend this business to anyone. As it was his first time in a cattery I was contacted the first couple of days with updates which helped to relieve my anxiety. I have since recommended my friends to Catmandu and they too were very happy.

The cattery is clean & spacious & at first I was happy to leave my furry friend here. However I did feel uneasy after meeting the owner who was cold & unfriendly. My cat was to be medicated twice daily, with clear instructions left in regards to this, as well as dietary needs. I was horrified to receive an email from the animal emergency centre advising of my cats emergency admission due to overdose. I was overseas & quite helpless to do anything & not due back for another week. I called the cattery, & was given very little information, I had to call the AEC to find out what was going on with my cat? My cat almost died & I got no apology or explanation as to what had happened? The owner expected payment for expenses incurred at the emergency centre, my cat was away from the cattery for 2 nights, as undergoing treatment to recover from an overdose.
