Caulfield RSL

We have been going to the Caulfield RSL frequently for the last two years and we have seen 3 changes in the Catering Staff. We used to eat at the RSL most Thursdays. On New Years Eve we booked to see the band and decided to have dinner there with friends. I ordered the Thai beef salad plus one of the desserts. It took an hour for my meal to come. When it came I could only see the salad and no beef. The beef was not sliced it was one piece of 90% fat and gristle. My group looked at the beef and we all felt sick. I took it to the Kitchen Manager and said have a look at this. She through the fat and gristle into the bin and said I will have a talk to the Kitchen Staff. She never came back to me. I then discussed the incident with the Manager of the RSL and still nothing was done. You know you're in a classy establishment when the staff takes a knife from one of the empty tables, and uses it like a screwdriver to fix a window latch, and then replaces it back to the table setting where she got it from. Caulfield RSL, service wise it was a bit like dining in a WWI trench, but met hinks an army ration pack would taste marginally better. I have to give at least one star to post a review but if it were up to me... No stars for you!
