Caz Reitop's Dirty Secrets

Excellent Staff, Lovely dcor, feels very inviting and cosy. Good drinks, good prices, great selection of Beer and Spirits, catch the Weekday specials, excellent mulled wine for $5! Can't ask for much more on up and coming Smith St! Function room downstairs which is always booked out on weekends.

Styled like a 1920s Speakeasy, Caz Reitop's Dirty Secrets is located pleasantly close to public transport on Smith Street Collingwood. The decor is great without being too frighteningly theme-y, and there is even a bluestone basement room below for functions. Unfortunately this room is very small and poorly lit, and thus entirely inappropriate for poetry readings. Speaking of poorly lit, the drinks are nice but not exactly cheap - although they have $9 cocktails from 5 til 7pm, Wednesday to Friday. I would return, but not for a while. I recommend CRDS to anyone seeking an interesting bar experience, but not as a venue for events which require light or space.
