We did not have a positive experience with this builder. Timeliness and attention to matters that did not always go to plan was slow. Some greater attention to customer communication would assist this business. Generally more experience required on larger scale jobs.

Dan and his team ticked all the boxes for our addition and alterations work from beginning to end. They were all really friendly, trustworthy and committed to doing the best job. All work was of a high quality standard, coming in on budget and timings. I would recommend Capital Building and Design and wish Dan all the best.

Dan doesn't give you false promises and I didn't get any suprises at the end of the project. He and his teams are energetic and professional. He is able to fix any problems of his work promptly.

We chose Dan and his team after seeing a friend's house that he had worked on. We chose him partly because he was willing to take the time to go through each part of his quote and break it down for us, and negotiate with us on what was essential and what could wait till later (to suit our budget, which was tight). He was a bit more expensive than other quotes but his quality of work and speed makes this worth it, in my opinion. We had previously been quoted 6-7 months for the same scope of work, at a costs plus rate rather than fixed, but Dan did the job in 3 months on a fixed costs contract. We engaged Capital Building and Design after we had seen the very successful outcome of a full renovation at a friends' house. When asking Dan (main guy) for a quote, we were surprised by the ambitious time frame he proposed - he cut what others quoted as a 5-month job in half. And with the building work now finished, I can happily say that Dan managed to pull it off.
Throughout the whole process, we really liked Dan's attention to detail, and his no-compromise attitude towards work that didn't live up to his standards. There were times when the other tradespeople he had contracted didn't do a good job, and he always dealt with this promptly and without delay.
