Just a place to buy pretty bikes made overseas. I tried to get service to buy a pair of shoes on a Saturday afternoon but sadly everyone who worked there was too busy talking to themselves. A great place if you are new to bicycles and want to have a fashion accessory. Not a real bike shop, but very Fitzroy.
Okay I'm not sure what happened to their service here. After purchasing my bike from Cellbikes a few months ago, I had such a good experience I recommended them to my friend who decided to also purchase his bike from them. We went to the store together to put an order in and although they were extremely quiet, they didn't even bother acknowledging us. We had to approach them for service, the same staff served me but this time their pricing was inconsistent considering we were ordering the same bike, the staff also seemed unsure on some of our enquiries. The whole time the staff seemed uninterested in serving us. We ended up putting an order through but never heard from them again. Not sure what happened but I would now not recommend cellbikes to anybody.
Great service, fantastic pricing and knowledgable. As for the products, I guess what you pay for is what you get. They do stock the high end stuff, but if you're after a basic bike, they also stock that too. But the quality isn't the greatest. But in saying that, I love the bike that I bought from here, it looks great and I got it for an amazing price. I went in here not knowing much about the bike that I was after, they helped me through everything, fitted me up to the bike that was the right size, and gave me great tips. I've been back since buying other parts/accessories here and I'll most likely buy my next bike here too. Highly recommended.
Almost forgot to add, that there was one flaw about their service that I didn't like. I ordered my bike from them and they told me that they'll call me by a certain date which they didn't. I had to chase them up only to find out my bike was going to be delayed, had I not called they wouldn't of told me. After being informed that it was going to arrive later that week and I'll get called when it does, they never ended up calling again. Once again I had to call them and that's when they told me my bike is ready for pick up.
