My experience today with Centenary Landscape has not been good. I called this morning to check on the availability of Sir Walter Turf. Simon, after putting me on hold to find out, told me that their delivery had not yet arrived and that they had 30 pieces unsold from that order. With that knowledge, I went off to measure up my job so I could call back and order what I needed. About half an hour later I called back to order 20 pieces only to be told by Sally that they only had six pieces left.

Hello, I can only offer you an apology for your recent experience and reiterate that our customer service is something we take pride in. This is clearly a case of poor or delayed communication within our own team and I can assure you, Simon would not deliberately give you incorrect information regarding stock of any product. If the time frames you have mentioned were accurate, there is sometimes a delay in that communication while our yard te
team fulfils existing orders before releasing the remaining stock to be sold.
Our policy with turf is we can not place it on hold until a customer has paid for the product in full. We have had to implement this policy as turf is a perishable item and if it is not collected within a short period it will die. I am confident the available stock figure quoted by Simon of the incoming (or already arrived) delivery would have been accurate at the time of your initial call, and unfortunately, unless you were ready to place your order at that point we may have still missed the chance to get that stock calling back 30 minutes later.
I will be coaching Simon to be clearer when communicating the ordering process for turf as it is important to portray the urgency when placing turf orders, particularly in spring. If you have not already purchased your turf from elsewhere, I will be more than happy to match the price of Bunnings and drop it to you home free of charge as a show of good faith. Congratulations, James, that is one of the best recoveries from a customer complaint I have seen. You have won me over with your positive response, the offer to make good and the commitment to solve the cause of the problem. A reasonable person could not ask for more.

Bad experience for a second time. Guy filling my ute 3/4 filled it with one bucket and I told them I could take a little more, they then proceed to dump another full bucket on the back completely overflowing and puts the wheelarches right down on the tyres and looks at me for a reaction. Out of sheer anger and disbelief I don't give them one so they say in a smart alec voice "have a nice day". After myself manually shovelling off soil that I paid for for 5 minutes and getting another smart alec wave from them as they swung by I went to the front desk to complain and they too didn't seem to care much. I'm guessing this must happen all the time. Needless to say they won't be seeing me again.

While there is not a lot we can do about this situation for you after the event aside from agree that this level of service does not meet the high standards we set for our team. We pride ourselves in our quality product, staff, knowledge and service and are very disappointed you felt our service wasn't up to scratch.
Our Store Manager, whom you spoke with over the phone assured you that this matter would be dealt with appropriately as we are always making efforts toward improving all aspects of our business including staff training in customer relations.
