She was very helpful at the start but due to injury i (the bride) was late by 45 minutes. Eve was very upset by this and gave us a lot of attitude.
She completely changed what we asked to be read at our ceremony by adding in 15 minutes of boring speech about nothing, when we wanted a simple short ceremony that was agreed apon.
Eve was reading the long boring script off her phone when it keep raining and she would have to hang up and find her place again.
Lots of things we agreed apon to be said we’re not, and things we didn’t wants said, like poems were.
Dear Rain, when I sent you a ceremony draft, I said please feel free to edit it to suit, if you do make changes send me back a copy with those changes, I have gone through all my emails from you there’s no attached amended ceremony from you at all. Because l did not get anything back from you l naturally assumed you are happy with the ceremony. The email you just sent me saying this is what we agreed upon, there's still nothing attached. Your being 30 mins late, was no issue for me,Pete said you would be late,l said not to worry. l was concerned because I Knew you had been in hospital in the morning.I waited very paitently, you arrived 30 mins late, we then waited a further 20 mins for your mum to arrive. l could have left as our contract reads: Your celebrant reserves the right to leave 15 mins after the start time if both parties to the marriage do not arrive on time, I did not mind the wait, I was so glad your mum got to see you get married. Eve was helpful with tips and advise up until the wedding day.
On the wedding day I was rather disappointed because it was windy and all the guests could hear was the celebrant. Feedback from the guests suggests that the celebrant should have offered us the microphone to speak into to cast our voices when saying our vows. It also seemed to be unrehearsed as there was alot of pauses and mixing up of names.
At the end of it all we did get married, I just think the celebrant needs to brush up their skills a little to offer that professional service.
