I have to agree with the other reviews. This place is understaffed. The have the same wait staff working there all the time. Staff is great. I don't know how staff manages all duties (Bartendar, waiter, front of house, answers calls, takes orders). However, during busy periods, it's inevitable that staff will struggle, and as a result, tables take forever to get service. Most restaurants would have 3 front of house staff. Why doesn't management provide support ?
We went with friends to Ceylon inn for the first time last night, will never return, we sat outside service was slow or non existent staff forgot orders or just didn't come to the table. We ordered entree which came out quite fast food was cold,
we waited over an hour for mains when going inside to ask for the management there wasn't one on and we were told our meals were on the way. Meals arrived prawn curry was terrible frozen prawns nan bread garlic spinach and cheese, garlic from a jar smeared over the nan bread as an after thought it was un eatable
There are much better Indian restaurants don't waste your time or money
For the best true Indian try tandoori village springwood
Though the staff was delightful and attentive, we were very unimpressed by the service delivered by the management. They were extremely offensive, and although we have been here before and enjoyed ourselves, this experience has left a very bitter taste in our mouths. We will not be returning, nor will many of our friends or family in the Graceville area. For failing to deliver a very simple customer service gesture, the arrogant management have lost themselves much future custom. Do yourself a favour, and travel to the Kenmore or Toowong restaurant if you are after the Ceylon Inn experience.
