Our muscles are dynamic and powerful. Muscles work with the skeletal system to help us move and protect us from injury. Sometimes our muscular systems overwork, causing pain and dysfunction.

Clinical Myotherapy focuses on the assessment, treatment and management of musculo-skeletal conditions. These conditions may be specific injuries such as damage to the rotator cuff, low back discs, hip and sacroiliac joint area, ligamentous structures of the knee and ankle, and other muscular tears and restrictions. Musculo-skeletal dysfunctions may also present as generalised pain conditions such as low back pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines myofacial pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and thoracic outlet syndrome.

Clinical Myotherapists use a comprehensive assessment process to identify specific treatment options for each individual: soft tissue mobilisation, dry needling, joint mobilisation, corrective exercise and electrical stimulation.

Aaron Chambers is the new in-house Clinical Myotherapist at GV osteopathic clinic. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy) and a Certificate IV in Personal Training.
