Across from Aqua S in Regent Place, Chanoma is an interesting little cafe/restaurant serving Japanese fusion food, but is most popular for their soft serves and desserts. The flavours include hokkaido milk, black sesame and matcha. I find the texture of the soft serves to be a little icy and the hokkaido cream was definitely not the same as those in Japan, less creamy and quite sweet. However, I did like the matcha and black sesame as they weren't too sweet at all.
The matcha soft serves here are always a favourite. It's just the right amount of sweetness (not over the top as many soft serves) and still retains the distinct bitterness and great taste of the matcha. It was so exciting to see their extended flavour range so we got Hojaico and matcha swirled together! Keeps it interesting so you don't get bored on the same flavour!
Heard about their dry ice wasbai ice cream so wanted to try. Unfortunately they don't sell it anymore, so opted for the alternative of matcha ice cream instead. It was average. Customer service was not exception and wait was long. Not sure what the hype is about here.
