What can I say? This is the go-to place where many people come to fill their bellies. Don't be fooled into thinking it's just another hamburger joint, it's so much more than that, it's legendary, the loyal followers even refer to this shop as "Chookas". I'm told that even Nigella Lawson gave another branch of Chookas the thumbs up, now that's saying something ! I'm a food snob, so I wasn't expecting much but that chicken and lemongrass salad is to die for. Chompers, the famous burger is also good. Great value too.
Great char grill chicken shop in Mosman. You can taste the smokiness in the chicken and it must be what people like because the line here is always long - they have a ticketing system for orders. You can't go wrong with a 1/4 chicken and chips or one of their hot chicken rolls - they pack generous amounts of chicken into the roll without it getting too dry. Hint: for extra goodness in your chicken roll, ask them to add gravy too!
