Its quite outdated the interior and exterior although theyve recently had a facelift which gave it some life. Prior to this it seemed like a salon from the 50s. The restaurant is based on a main corner strip of footsrcay attracting lots of traffic via the tram and all the cars passing through all intersection. Ive been here a few times, not listed as one of my top restaurant, however the servings a generous, the food are ok depending on what youre ordering. An old time favorite has to be the steak cooked on hot stone, they seem to do this really well and of course the pizzas are quite good also. Ive shared most of my dishes which has given me an opportunity to sample a bit of everything. I would encourage those who live locally or have driven pass to give them a try, as theyve been around for a very long time and must be doing something right!
This place is an interesting establishment, but iconic nonetheless - it definitely has signs of having seen better days to say the least.
The pizza quality varies depending on who is making it although the Charlie's special is extremely tasty with it's abundance / generous portions of pepperoni and ham. The mushroom saucer on the steak is quite good. Service could be better. They have a good gelati selection for the summer time however.
Not the best food, definitely not the best service, but I do find myself coming back every now and then as they open till very late and do have a large menu with plenty to choose from. I'm not sure why all the staff that get hired have minimal skills, so make sure you get them to repeat your order as I have had my order incorrect a number of times. One dish that I strongly recommend which is a favourite here is a serving of mushroom sauce with bread. I always start off with that without fail. But annoyingly enough, the timing that it comes out is never consistent, sometimes the sauce comes out first long before the bread making the sauce cold or vice versa.
