After over 30 years in business Charles Radiator Service is closing its doors.

Our decision to close is due in part to changes within the radiator industry including an influx onto the market of cheap and inferior products from overseas supplier, a change in business model by these overseas suppliers who are increasingly contacting the public directly - effectively cutting out the specialist radiator repairer and a strong feeling that now is the right time for us to wrap up our business.

Charles Radiator Service has a strong history of servicing the local community from day one in 1978 at 78 Plenty Road when Charlie first opened the doors. In that time, we have employed over 20 radiator repairers, serviced generations of families in the maintenance of their vehicles, built strong relationships with other small businesses in the area (and some large ones too), survived the recession in the 1980s and more recently the GFC as well as celebrated Charlie's retirement in 2002.

Now all that's left is to close the doors - something George will do on 30 June 2011.
