We had dinner for four here and the only positive was the hot chips.
The food was very average, quite expensive and the service was poor.
$35 for charleston steak that was over cooked and served with a mountain of tinned asparagus! Schnitzel was overcooked and processed meat :(. Salad was uninspiring.
We waited a long time to have two of 4 meals served, and then waited another 20 minutes for the rest of our order. There was no acknowledgement of the poor service. The Adelaide Hills is filled with excellent cafes, fine dining and take away. Would not recommend and would never go back. Maybe we went on a bad night - the bar was full, there is a bus to take locals home if they can't drive and there is live music. Hope this was a one off bad experience...
This is sad to hear. We dine on a weekly basis and the schnitzels are Definately chicken breast and not processed! Highly recommended for a generous pub meal.
Simply the best pub in the Adelaide Hills. Great food, great atmosphere, excellent beer garden and brilliant service. The owners are very friendly and the entertainment appeals to all, ranging from live bands, to DJs to karaoke. Open fire places and outdoor heating adds to the wonderful ambience - superb!
