Charlie Chan's Bar And Bottle Shop

This place really isn’t all that great, though honestly, I was expecting that it was going to be a lot worse that it actually is, and it really isn’t that great, as I have already indicated. Yeah, this is simply a typical bar, and I probably shouldn’t even suggest that it is typical because it sort of falls below that definition. I really didn’t like this place, and as I had done many times in the past, I’ll simply keep on walking past the next time I’m on George Street.

Cheap and cheerful prices with their happy hour!! I go there after work sometimes and from 6pm to 9pm there are $5 drinks - spirits, house wine and beer (weekdays only). It's a bit dingy so perhaps a good place to stop by before you head off somewhere.

When walking past it on a Sat night, I always end up walking in to chill out inside.

Well priced drinks and comfortable seats in the Chinatown end of CBD.
The menus looked really comprehensive for the restaurant, but we didn't get to stay for a feed.
Also picked up a bottle of wine at the bottle shop.
Very small space so limited offering, but you'll find something to wet your whistle.

The kind of bar you go when nowhere else will let you in! But it isn't all bad, I've had a few good experiences here, nice crowd and they do pints.
