Chatime
Informative and friendly service. The bubble tea is quite expensive as mentioned in the previous review. Customers can choose sugar and ice level. The pearls are too sweet. Membership card can be bought for 50c with no expiry and accumulated dollars (10% credited every time one buys) can be used in any Australia's Cha Time.
I remember going to this shop when at Hong Kong. It then opened up after a few years in Australia. I thought it was going to be very cheap, because in Hong Kong I bought a large pearl milk tea and it was only $10! (which is equivalent to~ $1.63 in AUD). But when I saw the price it sold for here, a whopping $5-6 small/regular pearl milk tea, I was put off by the price. I usually don't go to this bubble tea store due to its expensive-ness! Plus the quality of the milk tea seems low, it powders really easily making it look like the milk has blobbly, thick consistency.
If you know what international is, then you will know why they price the product this high. Giving a negative ratings without fully understand the whole thing is pretty much useless.
Chatime support local dairy company, which already affect the cost. Besides, since when they use milk powder to make their milk tea? All of their milk tea are from the real dairy product. None of them is non-dairy milk powder.
You did not fully understand the product why giving them negative ratings? It is not fair. Did you even try Chatime in Australia? Have a try and it will change your thoughts about Chatime drinks.
I am well aware that it local suppliers of dairy are costly here relative to those overseas. And pretty much many of the prices of common goods and services within Australia are much higher than abroad; due to many reasons, one being the costs of production can be expensive here. This was a true personal evaluation of Chatime and I respect that you view it differently, but keep in mind that this was my experience. I have definitely tried Chatime, otherwise I would not be obliged to write this review and give my honest opinions. Why would I write a poor review on something I have not tried? Unless my motive was to harm the reputation of it? Of course not. Chatime is a very popular drink shop and I know many who like it, it is just not the one for me. So please respect that.
