Chatkazz

We arrived at 10:30am and there is already a line. Chatkazz serves Western Indian vegetarian street food from the Gujarati region. What a delicious start to the morning, much better than plain old oats or toast. If this is a typical Indian breakfast, I am up for adoption. We sample the Jalebi, a vibrant orange sweet indian style pretzel served for breafast. The khaman dhokla, a light, airey, savoury sponge that was perfect for soaking up the mint and tamarind sauce. The pick of the bunch was a serving of fried sago fritters called sabudana vada and of course it was served with sides of chutney. It wouldn't be right to not have a cup of chai. This version was quite potent, with a few cubes of sugar needed to sweeten the brew

If you haven't been here I don't know what you're waiting for. This place is just. WOW! It's across the road from Harris Park train station so there's no reason not to jump off and have some wonderful Indian street food.

Any restaurant that has to cordon off parking spaces to fit their waiting crowd is doing something right. We joined the throng on a progressive dinner through Harris Park’s 'Little India' without even realising (until we sat down) that we were in for a fully vegetarian meal. The extensive menu presents a wide range of Indian street food and snacks from across the subcontinent. The hectic pace of the place means orders can (and did) go amiss. With street style dishes, food should arrive quite quickly, so if it’s been a while since your docket was collected, do consider making inquiries. Once we started rolling, our dishes arrived in rapid succession. Love the chats that we get here. Great in quality, quntity and taste. I love the Samosa Chaat and Dashi Puri here.

Service and food came out quick
Tried various dishes including pain puri,dosa platter,another dish with fuffed up bread and chick pea curry,mango lassi and gulab Jub

Everything was nice,the mango lassi was one of the best I've had! The unknown named dish was,despite its simplistic nature,very tasty

I don't know what I'm eating really but the place was packed to the rafters

Enjoyed my experience here but wish it wasn't so squishy
