The United Parking facility is secure (they have cameras), undercover and a good well lit clean facility. Shuttle buses come by very 5 minutes and take you to the airport.
Make sure you find the right spot to get picked up when you have to get the bus back to the facility - the pick up area at Melbourne airport has now changed.
