I have never been to the original CBD restaurant and was so happy when they opened in Parramatta as I would've have to travel so far. To me Chef's Gallery is a nice Chinese restaurant but definitely nothing new or flashy to me. They have staple dishes like handmade noodles, varieties of stir-fry, soups etc. They're desserts I have to say are the most inventive part of the menu with Western fusion like pana cotta, as well as classics like mango pancake and sweet bao. Overall a decently priced, tasty eat.
Just over eighteen months ago, I joined a busload of food media on a trip to Parramatta to celebrate the launch of the Chefs Gallery Parramatta outpost. Getting word of a new menu that included Korean-style mac’n’cheese aimed just at Parramatta diners, I decided to hop on public transport and get myself a taste of it...
Marveling at how quick it was to get to Parramatta, I was pleased to find a fast path from the station right to the restaurant’s front door that didn’t require me to walk through Westfield Parramatta. When compared with my last visit, Chefs Gallery Parramatta looks a bit tatty. Our table is chipped and gouged; the floors are greasy; but I’m hoping they’re simply signs of the restaurant being well ...read more
The food here is great but the prices are a bit much for what you get.
I mean you can get Chinese food which is just as good for half the price!
We had a plate of fried rice, beef and blackbean, and sweet and sour pork and we were charged over $90.
A bit exxy if you ask me.
Other than that, the service wasn't bad and the food came out relatively quickly.
I love the ambience at this Parramatta branch. Been there few times and I always ordered the roti with pork floss. My favourite dish! The piggy and emoji fairy land is cute and a hit with the kids. However, the menu has amazing photography that you might get disappointed when the actual dishes come out. Look far less 'photogenic' compared to what you see on the menu. The price is also too high in my opinion considering that the portion is not huge.
Fast on the heels of their Bankstown store, Chefs Gallery added this Parramatta restaurant to their fledgling empire. While it’s part of Westfield Parramatta, Chefs Gallery have cleverly seen it situated it on the outside edge of the monolith, ensuring you can dine without actually entering the shopping centre. The glam new 200-seater store has the same glass walled kitchen, ensuring you can watch your hand-stretched noodles being made. Their trademark green noodles served with king brown mushrooms are coloured using spinach, and a firm favourite at the flagship store - tried them here, just as good!
