Went for lunch last Friday ordered steak medium rare came out well done. Chips were over cooked and old they had been sitting for a while before being served, salad was old not freshly cut that day. Highlight of lunch was a bottle of Diet Coke instead of the cheap post mix. Will never return food was rubbish 10 years ago thought I would give it another try. Save your money and go somewhere else total garbage.
Went for lunch. The food was okay but the service was not up to scratch. Being asked ( admittedly politely ) to leave at around 2pm so they could set up for dinner was surprising , especially as our coffee and dessert was only half finished and obviously still on the table.
Awful. On our first visit my boyfriend and I waited an hour for our food - it arrived barely warm. His pork was dry as bone, the chips soggy and the salad wilted. Decided to try again a couple of months later - same story. Waited 45 minutes for our food, arrived near cold - my chicken parma was 80% breadcrumbs, 20% tough, poor-quality chicken, with a tiny piece of ham and a hardened glob of cheese. His vegetarian pizza was 90% tomato paste and onion on a stale pizza base. We left and went to the McDonald's across the road. Overpriced food, overpriced drinks and average service - it's one saving grace is its excellent children's playground. Will not be returning - very disappointed.
This is a great to go if you have kids and are meeting up for lunch/dinner with friends and family. There is a large indoor playground for the kids, which will keep them occupied for the length of your visit. The food is good pub fare and the prices are fair. Book early for a table close to the play area.
I found the meals to be very good. In fact I think they do the best steak sw in the world. However if you want a good beer, your wasting your time. The beer's always flat, normally served with no head. I noticed the locals in the sports bar area drink stubbies,I wonder why.
