Chez Sun is an amazing patisserie! It is also much more that just a master of fine cakes. It is also a great place to enjoy a coffee and meal for breakfast, brunch and even dinner Thursdays - Saturdays. This two level eatery is located in Surry Hills toward the Oxford St end of Crown St. The bottom level has an open view of crown street. Once inside, head up toward the counter where you are greeted by the friendly staff. It is here where you see the beautiful display of cakes, which are an absolute work of art. If you are dining in, it is recommended that you head up stairs. Once on the upper level, you will find an oasis in the heart of Surry Hills. With an inviting French inspired sitting/dining area, you can sit down in a tranquil environment for hours. Such a cute little cafe in darlinghurst (surry hills side). Two levelled, it's like a french tea house selling beautifully designed patisserie goods that are baked in house and also breakfast and lunch choices included pancakes, eggs, risotto, and more. They also have high tea on the weekends after 2:30 and sell alcohol, tea and juices. I got an English Breakfast tea which came in a beautiful tea pot, side of milk and a timer to ensure it is brewed for the right amount of time. Also got an iced tea that had a hint of orange to it. I got a cute little patisserie item that was guava mousse and grapefruit jelly on a biscuit with a white chocolate feather and gold leaf. The staff were lovely and hospitable, and the cafe had a nice vibe, styled nicely.
