Chicken and Sons

I really like this place, at the more peaceful end of Victoria Ave, where you park on the street, usually right close by, or if not, one of he side streets. My daughter was hungry for a burger and chips, both very satisfying, I needed a BBQ chook to take to a picnic, and as it was too hot to turn the oven on, I decided to buy a ready-cooked chicken. Did the trick, and I grabbed a terrific salad to add to the picnic basket, the ingredients were so fresh. Great work.

I ventured over to Chatswood destined for chicken & sons. A Modern version of your local chicken shop. This joint is very popular as there is a plethora of quality options to choose from. They serve new and improved version of chicken shop favourites inluding Chicken in many forms, burgers, chips and salad.Order at the counter, grab a table and chill. We visited with a group so got to try most items on the menu. Plenty of different combo's to choose from.
If you are after something heathy the BBQ chicken and salad is always a good option. Choose a condiment, I loved the Garlic sauce. For the salad the superfood (Sweet potato, broccoli, quinoa and pumpkin seeds) was my favourite.

I had heard about this place through a few friends and due to the current burger craze surging around the country I was keen to give this place a shot.

When heading out for any burger nights I like to make sure I have worked up a really big apetite and have earned the right to pig out on a calorie packed feast.

I set the tone for this place by heading out for 7km run before we got there. Ordered the weekly special which was an absolute cracker of a burger. Wasn't on the regular menu unfortunately but the mix of spice from the sauce and chilli, fried chicken and bun was an absolute winner in my eyes.

All cooked perfectly.

I am normally a double beef double cheese and bacon burger type of guy but this was a winner for the chicken lovers.

This is a place I'd return to when given the opportunity.

I love me some Chicken & Sons, whether it's any of their stores I am all over it. Their latest opening or more re-opening at Chatswood is a huge success. Even though its a bit out of the main area of Chatswood it hasn't put a stop to queues of people and hordes of feasters. I have been twice at night and had to wait for a table and even went once when it was about 36 degrees outside and still there were people waiting for their delights.
The new venue is combo of charcoal chicken shop and gourmet takeaway/ dine-in restaurant with open kitchen. I love the layout - large share bench tables and framed witty quotes on the walls.Because of the location I would never think this place would get so popular but this isn't about the place - it is about the brand, the chicken, the cooking and the burgers. Whoa! These guys have totally switched things up and this isn't your standard Charcoal Chook shop as the name deceptively instigates! The menu is so 'all people' friendly you've got more than just token gluten free, vegetairian, vegan items here AND even beef burgers with of course the main staple being about roast chicken and beautifully crisp battered chicken breast burger patties!!!
