Expensive but worth it for something a bit different. They don't have have shoes on larger sizes though which is disappointing...

I found this shop by accident and went in without too high an expectation of finding shoes for my difficult, rather small feet. After telling Alison my shoe size, she proceeded to bring out boxes upon boxes of shoes and painstakingly tried each pair on my feet, but without success. However she was not deterred and continued searching for even more shoes in my size! In the end we had so many shoes sitting around the floor at my feet, we could barely move. Children of the Revolution has beautiful shoes and I have always enjoyed visiting there when in Brisbane. I have also not hesitated to recommend it to friends. However, I shall not shop there in future. A couple of years ago I bought some sandals there for $198 which I have worn intermittently over this period. The sole of one sandal has started to completely disintegrate and I am no longer able to wear it as it crumbles. I approached the management of the shop who said she could not do anything as the manufacturer involved was no longer in business, and anyway, it was just normal wear and tear. Fantastic customer service every single time. I purchased a pair of shoes and one of the straps broke after only 3 wears. I took them back in and they offered to replaced them without hesitation, and then took detailed notes on what occured so they could provide the information back to the manufacture to ensure that they knew what had occured. When I went back to pick up the replacement pair the staff apologised again for the inconvience.
