I know I posted a review on this site a few years back but just wanted to add another comment that last nights banquet with 6 other family members was terrific. Plenty of food, the Tofu with vegetables is delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. Everything apart from soft drinks are really cheap and corkage was only $5 for a bottle of wine, it's not charged by the person that's for sure! This isn't the first time I've been back in the last 3 years but just wanted to say it's still a great place for a relaxed family gathering.
Had a great meal with my family and Chinese guests last night at China View Kenmore. I'd seen some not so nice reviews so maybe the chef has changed, it was really good! I highly recommend the Tofu with Vegetables. My 10 year old son is fussy and he loved it too. We ordered the banquet for 5-6 people (enough for 7-8) at a cost of $99 and walked out with two containers of left overs which they happily bagged up. The five dishes we chose were full of fresh vegetables and meat (apart from the tofu one) and the fried rice had plenty of bbq pork and prawns in it. Was not a fan on the vegetable samosa's though. Over all, if you haven't been to China View for awhile I'd recommend a revisit, especially with a large table. Great value at less than $17 per head!
