Chowbhary Indian Restaurant

Just moved into mornington trying every restaurant on main st I just found my fav Indian restaurant Lovely decor and pleasant waiting staff and the food is amazing my fav is mango chicken and garlic naan. Excellent and backed up by a reasonable price.

We have been going to Chowdhary for a long time now and have never been disappointed with the standard of the food. We have also tried a lot of other indian restaurants and think this is the best indian restaurant on the mornington peninsula. The prawn masal is probably my favourite dish. Great value for money. Looking forward to going back.

Absolute worst Indian food I have ever had. This is the first time I have ever bothered to write a review for a restaurant because people need to know just how shocking this place is. The food was disgusting and overpriced, the staff were rude and the worst part is that when you get your bill, you realise they have sneakily added little extra hidden costs, like charging me extra for the mint sauce I didnt want, ask for or like and assumed it came as an extra sauce with my samosas, like all other restaurants. The staff were rude and couldnt even apologise when I said I did not enjoy my meal. Dinner here ruined the end of an amazing day out in Mornington

Have returned to Chowdhary this week to check consistency of food quality, given recent poor reviews! The food lived up expectations. Not a microwaved meal or rancid cheeseball in sight!. True, my companions and I were treated to our host's undivided attention - being the only patrons in the establishment (apart from those collecting takeaway orders), but hey it was the first day back at school - most conscientious parents were at home cleaning out lunchboxes and tucking their little angels into bed. Me? I was tucking into some very tasty beef Madras. Delightful! The mango chicken a little subdued in that there was no discernible mango flavour jumping out at me, but lovely and creamy nonetheless. Dissapointed. I had read good reviews about this place.



Not a fan of the food, felt like prepared microwave meals and probably wont return.



Service was very friendly. The restaurant lit up like Christmas tree started to annoy me after a while.
