We arrived at 7:30pm on a Thursday. I had checked what time they opened till and a review website said 10pm. (The cafes' own website only lists their closing time on Thursdays as 'Late').
So anyway we arrived and were met at the door by a waitres who asked what we wanted. We said "dinner". She said that because it was a bit quiet, the kitchen was now closed. I explained that it was only 7:30pm and they are advertised as being open until at least 10pm, or 'Late'. She then got impatient with us with an "I don't care what it says online" attitude. ...read more
Great local restaurant with a menu that is comparable to any of the fine dining restaurants in the city. Only difference being that if we drink too much we can walk home! Menu is varied and very well prepared, wines are great. Indoor and outdoor dining and not too big to be impersonal. Great staff..
I went here for breakfast last Sunday and was very disappointed. One of the staff was VERY rude. We waited 45minutes for our breakfast to come out and they forgot our juice so we had to ask for that again. They also don't have highchairs!! We will never be going back there again!!
Altogether unsatisfying. The wait staff were cold & unwelcoming- especially the one staff. We felt we had inconvenienced them with our patronage. The food was average and uninspired. It's saving grave is the barista who makes a decent enough coffee for this neck of the woods.
