The business incorporates a Maternal Stud and a Poll Dorset stud. All this is backed by a subsantial commercial maternal ewe flock. All stud maternal sheep are run together so we can make comparisons. Chrome supplies Coopworth, Perendale, Chromedale and Poll Dorset rams. What we select for in Chrome Self-replacing maternals; moderate frame score, high fertility, eas of lambing, excellent mothering ability, worm tolerance, hogget joining with 100% conception, good carcase shape, white wool, black feet.
