Famous for being cheap, but being a Northsider now, I hadn't been to a Cineplex cinema in years. Went in to South Bank to use tickets that were given to us for Christmas. Booking online was quite simple and picking up the tickets from the machines was even easier. It saved lots of time in lines. Saved us so much time we caught the full 30 mins of ads! We were in the IMAX cinema which is huge and would be great to watch those blockbuster movies on. But you do get what you pay for. It's definitely not as nice and clean as Event cinemas. And when you consider having to pay for parking or public transport on top of your ticket price, are you really saving that much money when Event tickets are available for as low as $11? I won't be rushing back here anytime soon. (I also visited on a bad day and had the fire alarm go off during the movie and no compensation at all was offered for the interruption. When you're that cheap, you don't need good customer service)
Great cinema to do dinner and movie as it is in a huge strip of restaurants. That said, parking can be a little packed so you might have to walk a bit of a way but just park in the surrounding streets. Part of the Cineplex chain so great prices and a cute cinema.
Parking used to be really good, but is a bit complicated now. The cinemas aren't the cleanest however tickets are very cheap which makes up for it. Not the best place to go during peak periods. Good food and drink selection and plenty of good places to eat nearby.
