City of Sydney Public Library - Haymarket Branch Library

This tiny book space is well worth knowing about if you are a book lover like me. Hidden where you'd least expect to find a library, right on George in the thick of Haymarket, it is a little oasis of quiet. Climb upstairs to the reading room, and find a spot in the winter sun to read, looking out through the plane trees to the bustle below. The on-site book selection is limited (unless you're after the Chinese papers) but use it in conjunction with the City of Sydney online catalog, and have your selections delivered there for pickup - for free!
