Clarendon Cabaret Room & Cocktail Bar

I went here for a show recently and had a fantastic night. The venue is intimate and shows its history well. Cool little bar area with a great array of drinks. The band kicked up a huge show, we had a brilliant night. Cant wait to see more gigs here in the future

The Clarendon Guesthouse was appalling. If you intend on getting any sleep, don't bother staying here. I was aware when I booked it that it there would be live music playing downstairs, I could accept that - but until 1am? People stomping around and crashing glasses until 2am? Unacceptable. Also, the room looked nothing like what was depicted in the online photos, very unfair. I booked this place for a special night with friends, it turned out to be a down right disaster. Will never stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I was incredibly disappointed in my recent stay at this guesthouse.
I looked at the website which depicted lovely period styled rooms and decided to book a room for one night as I was attending a conference in Katoomba. I was horrified to find that we had been allocated a very basic room which was tired and shabby, the bathroom had mould in the shower and the toilet roll holder had fallen off the wall. The blankets were thin, the towels were threadbare and very small - there was no facecloth provided. There was limited on site parking and the driveway exit was so steep that my small car only just scraped over the footpath. A basic breakfast was provided in the dining room but at $180.00! Outrageous, so either refurbish or reduce the tarrif!

Every visit to the Clarendon is something I look froward to.

The staff are friendly and always there to help, the accommodation is quaint and comfortable.

If attending one of the shows it is a must to have the dinner as well - it is always a gourmet meal for a great price.

The bar is a great place to sit and enjoy a drink and a good chat.
