Classic Cinemas Elsternwick

Have been a long time cinema viewer at the classic, not anymore. I find the staff behind the counter rude at times, the cinema's themselves have no atmosphere, the candy counter is average also, pop corn is not that fresh. There are better cinemas around Melbourne , the classic is not one of them.

Avoid at all costs!!! I was looking fwd all week to see Nebraska, it is my only day off. But they stuffed up the session times on their pamphlet and on their board. I missed out! They did not even bother to change the time on their board after they found out!

I am a regular at the Classic, after receiving an email about a special event for "The Book Thief" that could be booked on line, in fact I couldn't book on line (Classic had not done their online preparations properly before advertising the event) and when I rang the Classic repeatedly they did not answer their phone. I then decided to drive down to the Classic in what happened to be an afternoon of pouring rain to buy my tickets. When I told the person serving behind the counter what had happened there was not a word of apology just pure arrogance.Yesterday I was standing in line to purchase some movie tickets, the same person was serving two elderly woman who had forgotten to tell this person they were seniors, this person arrogantly said to them "what, you think I am a mind reader or something". I love the classic, especially for showing foreign movies that don't get screened at the bigger multi screened cinemas. Provides a brilliant mix of the latest blockbuster and smaller movies which are also great. While the smaller cinemas are great because they are a very relaxed, the classic also has screens for the bigger films that gives the true movie going experience, which allows for the best of both worlds.

Wow! Honestly didnt know cinemas could be so sweet. vinyl? nice touch.

came with some mates, had a beer off their huge list of microbrewery beers! (kooinda? growler? two birds? evrything...)

the new cinema 6 kicked a**, huge comfy leather seats.

cheap, fun and fresh. ill be back
