Classic Curry & Sweetes Corner

I had a sudden craving for naan bread and just happened to stumble upon this place. I ordered the garlic naan and the Aloo naan with potato and cheese. The only other place I've had naan bread was at the Melba and that was amazing and it set a standard for me. And because of my naan craving, I had expectations and sadly, this place didn't deliver. I'm not sure what it was about the naan bread here, but it was just so bland and dry. Although it was cooked fresh, it just lacked every element in making the right naan.

hmmm can I preface this review by pointing out two things. In the negative corner, I love Indian food & because of that I know what I want & what I like & how I want it...call me a snob or call me an Indian gourmand...the distinction is probably fine. In the "potentially" positive corner, we didnt eat in, we got delivery. Perhaps it was the car trip. Perhaps they had a new kitchen staff. Perhaps they just had a bad day. We got our usuals - saag paneer, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo & all the helpings. Sadly they didnt help. Nothing could have helped what we were presented with. Tasteless, chewy, soggy, uninspiring...I'm all out of words to describe the disappointment that followed each & every bite! So much so my wife made me tear up the menu. Now I'm always wiling to give things three goes. Maybe it was my early years playing baseball?? Regardless, I'm going to be hard pressed to try this even a second time my wife disliked it so much.
