Fantastic experience dining here at Claypots. Staff was friendly and recommended one of their fresh fish dish which comes with Asian greens and steamed rice on the side. We also ordered the orphaus claypot which was flavoursome and perfect on a cold night. It's a relaxed setting and popular choice even on a Monday night. Happy to come back again!
brilliant seafood accompanied with bread or potatoes. we had king prawns, stingray, snapper, calamari and octopus, all superbly cooked often charcoal grilled, not cheap but seafood is top quality, fresh, marinaded beautifully. great meditereanian tapa too. its popular for a reason
I am quite fussy when it comes to Seafood, so i must say the food was Exceptional, especially the Prawns..YUMMY!! The wait staff were attentive and nicely chilled which creates great ambiance and after our meal their is a quaint little bar that had Live Jazz Music which capped off a wonderful Dining Experience.. So simply couldnt reccomend Highly enough CLAYPOTS in St Kilda.#reviewtowin
speciality seafood large restaurant with indoor and outdoor undercover seating and band and bar area alongside. its, busy and noisy during any ordinary weeknight. seafood is not cheap but it is great quality- fresh and cooked beautifully. we had fish, stingray, mussles, king prawns (sensational) and crab as well as dips and antipasto. staff attentative despite being run off their feet.
We dined at this restaurant with friends from interstate, and it did not disappoint. Our selection of garlic king prawns, roast wild barramundi, Cajun flathead and the marinara pasta were tucked into heartily, wolfed down with a bottle of sauvignon blanc. Luckily we had arrived relatively early so were guaranteed a seat. I have heard horror stories how long you can wait for a table at this restaurant, but luckily we had managed to avoid this and have a merry night.
