Clisdells Strata & Valuations

Stay away from this Strata Management. Their indifference and lack of action to serious and urgent structural issues is breathtaking. Our property is currently damaged due to water leaks within the building (a historical problem they have done nothing about for years). Calls and emails to rectify the issue remain unanswered. They refuse to repair any damage caused by their inaction to the water leaks. I cannot describe my disappointment at their lack of service. We are looking at purchasing another property and have specifically researched which buildings they manage so we can avoid buying there and spare ourselves the grief and distress at dealing with their office. Would give 0 stars if it was an option.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. WORST STRATA COMPANY EVER, DISHONEST, DISAPOINTING AND DO NOT CARE AT ALL FOR THE OWNERS. IF I HAD HAVE KNOWN I'D NEVER HAVE BOUGHT A PROPERTY WHO USED THIS COMPANY. I WISH I HAD HAVE KNOWN BUT WILL BE DEFINITELY WARNING EVERYONE FROM NOW ON.

Clisdells Strata Management Sydney have managed our block for over 4 years located in Kensington, NSW a suburb located in the "Eastern Suburbs". Clisdells always will give the body corporate a selection of 3 quotes for major jobs. Emergency work needs to be taken care fast, so this may not be always possible. They will only use fully insured tradesman who work to a high standard. They have saved lot owners money by letting us know "our rights". Some secretaries will intimidate unit holders into thinking that unit holders are responsible to repair all common property in their lots. Clisdells professional body corporate services soon fixed this problem. For a prompt, cost effective and speedy service with no fuss!

Honestly if I could give this place a zero I would. Avoid at all costs. They are unprofessional, lazy and incompetent. They caused damage to our property through their own negligence and then tried to cover it up. Their strata manager Doug doesn't even understand the new strata laws and their general manager Lucio doesn't follow up on complaints. We have since sacked them thankfully but not before a significant amount of stress and financial loss. We now have a professional and pleasant strata manager who actually gets stuff done quickly and efficiently and communicates!! I know other people who have had similar issues with Clisdells. Judging by these reviews, we are not alone!

I cannot say much about this place, other than that they don't seem to do much at all. You pay your quarterly strata fees, and they send someone to clean the stariwell every couple of weeks and that's it. Trying to get them to fix something - which they are responsible for according to law - will only be met with a tirade of abuse, and that's if you can even get through to them.

Also, my mother comes from a non-English speaking background, she was a migrant worker who spent most of her life doing menial jobs so she could purchase her own property. When my mother informed them about a broken step on the staircase that needed fixing, they just ignored her and argued it wasn't there responsibility. It wasn't until some of the other tenants complained, did Clsidell did something.

They are happy to take your money and will threaten litigation if you don't pay them on time, try to get them to do their job... and they will verbally abuse and ignore you.
