Clock Hotel

In terms of atmosphere and vibe it is pretty shocking - it feels like a RSL/tattersalls with very dated decor/furniture, especially for a place that is situated in the centre of Surfers. BUT! The food, ohmagah it exceeded my expectations!! I ordered the calamari salad and it was seriously THE BEST, and it's a friggen salad. My friends apparently come here for their pulled pork burgers and it looked great too. The food saved this place!

I always seem to land up at this pretty ordinary pub whenever I am in Surfers. I guess it is one of those places that is always open, and is pretty identifiable as a pub. Personally, I really don't like it, but then again I'm not really a big fan of Surfer's Paradise either. However, it seems to be one of those places that I always go and have a drink. Maybe next time I will try to find a different place to check out because I am sure there are lots of better places to have a drink. I guess the reason that I don't like this place is because it is your typical no thrills pub that seems to let anybody and everybody in for a drink. Not that that is a bad thing, but it isn't something that really attracts me to a place. They have nothing special on tap, and while they have an outdoor area, it is basically on the street. I would suggest coming here only if you have nowhere else to go, and don't want to drink back in your room.

Worst meal on Gold Coast, bad service, cheap meals. Do not eat here.

i dont know if you can stay here but we went for a meal and a few drinks one night and had a lot of fun! there are lots of people who go there after they finish work for a drink and they also play the big sporting stuff on their tvs. Was a lot of fun!
