I'd like to thank Chris from CMS Refrigeration & Airconditioning Services for the installation of my new split system airconditioner. It was a last minute install in preparation for my son's birthday party. I found Chris friendly and very professional, And done the job to a much higher standard than my mother's airconditioner recently installed by another company. Chris had detailed product knowledge and gave valuable advice on which airconditioner would best suit my awkward space and budget without compromising on quality. Chris did a brilliant job and I highly recommend him. Thanks Chris, my son's party went off a treat, plus now I won't have to stack the fire every night through the winter just to keep warm.
I recently used Chris from CMS Refrigeration & Airconditioning Services to service my car airconditioner and also, service my land ladys evaporative airconditioner. I found Chris to be punctual and extremely professional in my dealings with him. He quoted the jobs at a fixed price beforehand and there were no hidden extras. I thankyou for your honesty and for taking the time in explaining all that was being done on the job. I would be happy to recommend CMS to anyone who is after a thorough and professional job experience.
Knowlegable and Concise
Recently I called CMS Refrigeration to install an air conditioner I had purchased, and to decommission another unit ready for removal. I had a couple of quotes and decided to use CMS.
I found the clear explanation of what was involved and the process to be helpful.
The price wasn't the cheapest (even though I managed to reduce the outlay by doing some preparation to reduce the time required), but, knowing precisely what I was paying for, and the reasons behind it, made it clearer to make an informed decision.
Maybe, the cheaper quotes would have done the same job, but it's difficult to weigh up if it's not made clear.
I am very happy with the result and know the job has been completed to a high standard.
On Saturday 7th January when the temperature was in the 40s our air conditioner broke down. I had trouble finding someone who would come out and as my husband has medical problems i was pleased when C M S said they would come out that afternoon. I was not pleased when I was quoted $440 call out fee. I thought I might wait until the Monday to help with the cost but was told that they were booked out on the Monday. In desperation I agreed to pay the high call out fee. The serviceman would not even come to the house without my credit card number. The job took less than an hour. He showed me the damaged part and said he had 2 of these parts in the truck. He fitted this and then told me that the parts would be $195. On the Monday the company that I had purchased the air conditioner from rang and were so upset that I couldn't contact them and that I was charged so much that he sent a serviceman to service that unit. He also looked up the cost ...read more

During your call to me for service on 7/1/2017, you were quoted the After Hours Fee to attend to your faulty air conditioner as Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays as well as Weekdays after 5.00pm are After Hours Service and attract After Hours Charges.
You were also given the option of a cheaper rate for a week day, during working hours also. You decided you couldn't wait until during the following week for service and advised you would have to find alternate accommodation if I was unable to attend on 7/1/2017. You also advised that no-one else was answering their ...read more

During the service call a part was found to be faulty upon testing of your appliance and further inspection after opening up your appliance. You were shown the faulty and melted part and quoted a price there and then to supply and fit the replacement part. You verbally gave the go ahead after I checked my stock, found I had the part and could carry out the repair immediately.
The part was replaced and you commented " that the fan speed had never been so good before I repaired the appliance". I discussed with you how critical it is that the part is within specifications.
The job was completed at 14.14pm, you paid me via eftpos for the part and associated sundries to repair your appliance (as previously quoted- on the job). You also signed my copy of the Eftpos receipt, I don't recall asking for a signature on that receipt. You were then given a Tax Invoice and your copies of the two Eftpos receipts- all stapled together.

Comment 3:
At all times, during your initial call for service and whilst on your job, you were quoted costs to attend your job After Hours and for Parts Used to get your appliance up and running whilst on the job.
It was because of your situation that I felt sorry for your ill husband and made a booking to attend to your job after I had finished fitting a new compressor to my van air-conditioner of earlier the morning of 7/1/2017.
You had plenty of options and choices to ring around, get prices and availability of other businesses to attend to your air-conditioning needs. I offer 24hour/7day service, which is why you said you contacted me. I answered the phone, gave you all the information listed above and you decided to go with me.

I have no problem at all with you calling Consumer Affairs, you were informed of costs prior to booking your job and also, whilst I was on site. You agreed to and accepted the charges, upon the payments you made.
Thanks for the threat of Social Media that you say "It is also amazing how quickly social media can spread the word about some companies". Do as you please in relation to this, you can state your case and I will state mine as I have tried to outline above.
I left your premises at 2.25pm on 7/1/2017 and that concluded your job attendance.
I wish you and your husband all the best for the future.
